Intertek Moody Marine, a third-party assessor for the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), has paved the way for the Dutch Oyster Association to get MSC certification, according to a release from the MSC.
Moody Marine’s final report, after an assessment of the oyster fishery, has determined that “the Dutch Oyster Association oyster fishery should be certified in accordance with the MSC standard.”
The statement made clear that the MSC has not granted certification yet, but Moody Marine’s determination is an essential step in the process. Anyone wishing to object has 15 days to lodge such complaints with the MSC’s London office.
