Barfresh Food Group, a US-based manufacturer and distributor of ready to blend beverages, has signed a marketing agreement with RestaurantLink to expand the distribution of Barfresh Smoothie products to RestaurantLink's thousands of foodservice clients in the US.
RestaurantLink, a national procurement and support company, currently provides is clients with Pepsi Cola, Dr Pepper, and CO2 equipment along with several coffee, tea and juice products.
Barfresh CEO Riccardo Delle Coste said that RestaurantLink's 20 sales professionals in addition to their own internal sales force will play an important role as Barfresh Smoothies will be introduced in the US in 2013.
"By the end of the year, we expect the RestaurantLink sales representation for Barfresh products to grow to a team of 35 individuals. As a result, we believe Barfresh can achieve our revenue targets for this year and beyond," Delle added.
Barfresh offers smoothies through its wholly owned subsidiary Smoothie under SMOO smoothie packs brand.
The company is also conducting trials of its smoothies at some quick service restaurant chains and at a casino operation.
The trials are expected to result in launch at additional outlets at these chains in the second half of 2013 and 2014.
