SodaStream International, an Israel-based manufacturer and distributor of home carbonation systems, has entered into a strategic agreement with US-based Cott Beverages to develop and produce flavors for the SodaStream carbonation systems.
Both companies will start production with existing SodaStream flavors at Cott's primary concentrate production facility in Columbus, Georgia.
Cott Beverages is a subsidiary of Cott Corporation that produces beverages on behalf of retailers, brand owners and distributors.
SodaStream CEO Daniel Birnbaum said that the demand for their soda flavors in the US led to this collaboration and now they will be manufactured in the US using Cott's manufacturing footprint.
"State-of-the-art production, combined with years of expertise in flavor creation makes Cott an exceptional partner to have as we increase our syrup capacity to meet growing demand and look to broaden our product portfolio with new, great tasting flavors," Birnbaum added.
Cott Corporation CEO Jerry Fowden said, "We look forward to working with SodaStream as they continue to innovate and grow."
