Champagne Henriot, an independent, family-owned champagne producer, has selected UK-based fine wine importer John E Fells to look after the distribution of all its brands in the UK from 1 May 2013.
The brands are currently represented in the UK by Enotria, a trade supplier of wines to both on- and off-trade businesses.
Though John E Fells already distributes Henriot's brands such as Bouchard Pere & Fils, William Fevre and Villa Ponciago in the UK, the decision to hand over complete distribution rights to Fells was to consolidate its portfolio under a single UK agency.
Champagne Henriot chairman Thomas Henriot said Enotria had been a true partner for the company for the past few years, but the company wanted to bring the entire portfolio under one agency.
John E Fells managing director Steve Moody said they are happy for Fells to take over the sales and marketing of Champagne Henriot in the UK.
"Fells will continue with the good work undertaken by Enotria as we further develop Champagne Henriot's position," Moody added.
