Broken Shed LimitedBroken Shed Limited (BSL), a New Zealand-based distiller of Broken Shed Vodka, has signed a deal with Bock Wines and Spirits for distribution of its super-premium vodka in California.

The move is part of the company's plan to expand business in the US.

Founded in 2009, Broken Shed Vodka is a blend of New Zealand whey and water sourced from Central Otago and East Tamaki regions. The blend is distilled four times before subjecting to craft blending and filtering through two processes - continuous depth filtering and a custom-designed charcoal filtration process.

The spirits does not contain any additives and have a smooth taste profile.

Having enjoyed successful run in New Zealand, Singapore, the UK, and the US states of Connecticut and New York, BSL now plans to expand distribution throughout the US in 2013.

BSL co-founder Steve Turner said California is an important state to deal with, but the company is confident because of positive response in New York and Connecticut.

"Our distribution in California helps to lay the foundation for great success for Broken Shed in the United States," Turner added.
