Core Tip: International Brand Management Center (IBMC) has selected Trans Pacific Procurement (TPP) to establish American wines in Chinese marketplace.
International Brand Management Center (IBMC), an organization launched by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and part of the China Association of International Trade, has selected Trans Pacific Procurement (TPP) to establish American wines in Chinese marketplace.

For IBMC's Global Purchasing Season 2013, TPP will serve as the exclusive US partner and will select and export wines and other natural food products offered by the IBMC throughout China.

TPP founder Dr Michael Dragutsky said, "This program will let many Chinese consumers experience American wines and other natural food products for the first time and find out for themselves that the United States is a World Class wine producing nation."

TPP is also establishing an office for the IBMC in Yountville, California, where it will host the selected Chinese buyer groups, including media experts, consultants and key buyers, to visit production sites.

Product selection for this program will be led by Craig Camp, a Yountville-based wine industry veteran.

Camp said the company will initially select wines from six to eight wine producers.

"We expect this to grow significantly as more centers are opened throughout China," Camp added.

"My first goal will be to provide a selection with a strong price/quality ratio as other countries have come to China not only with high prices, but at prices well above their normal selling price. It is our goal to be more transparent and ethical in our pricing as the best strategy to build business for the long-term."

The project is scheduled to be launch in early April 2013 in Beijing.
