Higher corn, soybean prices seen Monday

For the first time, the CME Group farm futures markets open at 8:30am and close at 1:15pm CT.

The early calls for the commodities on Monday, April 8, 2013, are higher.

In overnight trading, the May corn futures contract traded 5 cents higher at $6.34 per bushel. May soybean futures traded 16 cents higher at $13.78 per bushel, and May wheat traded 4 cents higher at $7.03. For May soybean meal futures, the contract traded $4.50 per short ton higher at $396.30 May soybean oil futures traded $0.53 cents higher at $49.36.

The outside markets are favorable for Monday's grain trade. The real factors driving the calls will be the higher overnight markets.
