Armit Wines, a UK-based online fine wine retailer, has added four new wine estates - Tahbilk, Valli, TintoNegro and Chateau Maris - to portfolio.

Located in Victoria, Australia, the Tahbilk winery is mainly known for its Marsanne white wine and Shiraz. Armit Wines will take over the agency on 1 May 2013.

Established in 1998, the Valli estate is a boutique winery in Central Otago, New Zealand. Wines from the estate will be available in the UK for the first time from mid May 2013.

TintoNegro in Mendoza, Argentina primarily produces Malbecs, which will be new to the UK markets. These wines will be available from late June 2013.

France-based Chateau Maris is known for producing Minervois in the Minervois La Livinière appellation in the Languedoc. These wines will be available for sale immediately.

Armit Wines managing director Mike Laing said the company is happy to add of four new wine estates to portfolio.

"As part of a strategic review, we have spent considerable time identifying those areas of the world where we felt that we could improve and complement our existing portfolio and the South of France and the Southern Hemisphere were high on our list," Laing added.

"With these important additions of leading producers in four key regions, we can now offer an even better choice that is of wider relevance to the UK trade, as well as to our own private clients."
