Imperial Bag & Paper New York-based Imperial Bag & Paper Co., LLC celebrated the groundbreaking of its new Pulaski Distribution Center in Jersey City, N.J. This LEED-certified, state-of-the-art logistics facility developed by Prologis will consist of 366,000 square feet of warehouse space and 30,000 square feet of management and administrative offices.

Since acquiring the 50-acre site in 2008, Prologis has worked in close partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection to implement a development plan that permanently capped and closed the landfill, returning the site to productive use. Extensive environmental cleanup work has been completed at the site under the supervision of state and federal regulatory agencies.

Imperial Bag currently occupies more than 400,000 square feet of warehouse space and distributes out of locations in Bayonne, N.J., and Center Moriches, N.Y. In 2014, Imperial will bring the three Bayonne sites under one roof at the Pulaski Distribution Center. The new space allows Imperial to add more efficiency and value to their customers, as it is strategically located just five miles from New York City and the Port of New York/New Jersey.
