Honest Tea began rolling out its latest video spot celebrating the brand’s use of organic ingredients in its real brewed tea. The video shows footage and close-up images of the organic and Fair Trade Certified tea bushes like those that are brewed to make Honest Tea, sharing an origin story from the tea garden to the bottle.
“Our organic ingredients are beautiful, simple and delicious” said Seth Goldman, co-founder & TeaEO of Honest Tea. “We want to share our story in a way that is transparent and communicates what our drinks and our brand are about.”
The new ad is part of the “Refreshingly Honest” campaign that includes outdoor and in-store advertising. The video introduces the ingredients in a style that echoes the classic rhyme, “This is the House that Jack Built.” “The storytelling in this video creates a familiar cadence and rhythm that is both simple and direct, just like the real, organic ingredients that we source from nature,” said Honest Tea’s Vice President of Marketing Peter Kaye.
The new video, tailored for online viewing, will start appearing on Men’s Health and Women’s Health digital properties today, as well as a network of sites that cater towards audiences with active lifestyles. Honest Tea’s creative partner for the new advertising campaign is Mullen. The media planning partner is Ikon3.
