The House of Marnier Lapostolle announced that Charles de Bournet Marnier Lapostolle has been appointed chief executive officer of Lapostolle S.A. Representing the seventh generation of the Marnier Lapostolle family, Charles will oversee all business, marketing and administrative functions at Lapostolle in his new role as CEO.

Lapostolle Winery was founded in Chile in 1994 by Charles’ parents, Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and Cyril de Bournet. Alexandra will continue her duties as chair of Lapostolle, supervising the winemaking process, while Charles will take over the general management of the company. In addition to his new position as CEO of Lapostolle, Charles will continue to serve as CEO of Perigee Spirits, the subsidiary of Marnier Lapostolle overseeing the production of KAPPA Pisco in Chile.

Charles began his career in management consulting and then joined the family business as chief performance officer at Lapostolle winery responsible for operational activities. After three years in that position, Charles brought his family’s passion and innovation to life with the creation of KAPPA, a super premium Pisco from the Elqui Valley in Chile.

“Charles has proven himself as an intuitive and savvy businessman within the wine and spirits world,” says Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle. “We are thrilled that he will be even more involved in our family’s business and are confident that his leadership will bring Lapostolle to even greater heights well into the 21st Century.”
