Golden State Foods (GSF) announced the appointment of John Broekhuis to group vice president, international.
In this role, Broekhuis will head the company's International Division, overseeing the company's international operations, facilities, plan achievement, sales and strategic growth worldwide. He will also be responsible for key customer relationships across McDonald's APMEA (Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa) and globally, and will be based in the company's Singapore office.

"John's experience in sales, management and customer focus will help support new business growth for our customers in growing markets."
Prior to joining GSF, Broekhuis served as managing director for Sensient Cosmetic Technologies (France). There he was responsible for the global division, comprising business units in France, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Poland and Asia Pacific. In that role, he reignited profitable growth, led positive culture change and positioned the business for future growth. Broekhuis has also served tenures with companies including Danisco Flavors (Wellingborough, England); Florida Flavors (Lakeland, Fla.) and PFW Aroma Chemicals B.V. (Barneveld, The Netherlands) in various business management and sales and marketing roles.
Broekhuis earned his Master of Business Administration from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
