Liberty Wines, a UK-based importer and wholesaler of over 200 wines, is set to represent English sparkling wines produced by Hattingley Valley in the UK and Ireland from September 2013.
Established in 2008, Hattingley Valley works with 10 vineyards in Hampshire region. The winery's 11ha vineyard is planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
In the UK and Ireland, Hattingley will roll out its Hattingley Valley Classic Cuvee 2010, which is a blend of the three grape varieties - Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, made by winemaker Emma Rice.
The 2010 Classic Cuvee will be available from Liberty Wines at recommended retail price of £29.99 per bottle.
Hattingley Valley owner Simon Robinson said as a small organization, they seek the most effective way to operate within the UK and Irish markets, and believe that Liberty Wines, with its tremendous reputation in the on-trade and independent off-trade as well as its consistent, reliable customer service, is an excellent partner for their business.
Liberty Wines managing director David Gleave said the company is a big supporter of the English sparkling wine industry and has been looking to add to its portfolio a producer that both shares its quality ethos and complements existing portfolio.
"Hattingley Valley represents the perfect match and we believe that our strengthened portfolio offers our customers the country's most exciting and best quality traditional-method sparkling wines," Gleave added.
