Vanguard, an Australia-based fully independent, importer, marketer and distributor of premium beverage and liquor brands, has added Tequila Fortaleza to its portfolio of spirits.
Fortaleza was first produced in 1999 by Guillermo Erickson Sauza at La Fortaleza distillery in Mexico, where it is currently sold under the label name Los Abuelos.
The hand-crafted tequila is made using traditional process from 100% stone-milled agaves.
Vanguard luxury brands director James France was quoted by The Shout as saying that the Fortaleza tequila is a sought after brand with an unrivalled heritage.
"I owe my thanks to Sophie Decobecq and Stefano Francavilla from Calle 23 tequila for introducing me to the man behind Fortaleza, Mr Guillermo Erickson Sauza, last year in the town of Tequila," France added.
Tequila Fortaleza joins Vanguard's other brands including, Aviation Gin, Bittermens Bitters, Calle 23 tequila, Campo de Encanto pisco, Crawley's Bartender Syrups, Creme Yvette, Dr Adam Elmegirab's Bitters, Flor de Cana Slow-Aged Rum, High West Whiskey, Ilegal Mezcal, Laird's Applejack and Apple Brandies, Regal Rogue Bianco Vermouth, Square One Organic Vodka and Stolen Rum.
