Polymer Logistics' extensive portfolio continues to meet retail and logistics needs by combining transport and display functions in one simple solution. In response to an ongoing dialogue with customers, Polymer has recently added the following references: RPC 608 AL, RPC 613 AL and RPC 4317 FL to their family of folding boxes. These new designs and sizes combined with the Active Lock system allow them to be easily, safely and quickly manipulated, making it easy for customers to operate their businesses more efficiently, economically and therefore to make them more profitable.

The three new references are part of the family of reusable plastic crates (RPC) of the Active Lock Series, the latest innovation in packaging for transport. Compared to the disposable materials that were traditionally used, manufacturing with resistant plastic not only ensures that the boxes have a longer life but also reduces the product damage and, as they are reusable, it ensures customers a rapid return on investment. In the case of retail, it is an optimized solution for the direct shipment of goods from the producer to the point of sale, which in turn provides considerable savings in handling costs. The faster reset time combined with an increased product visibility leads to these innovative boxes' main advantage, namely, a marked increase in sales.

Thanks to the Active Lock function, this second generation of folding boxes is more ergonomic, easy to assembly, quickly closed and easy to automate. The operator simply presses the mechanism for folding the sides and close the box. Given that the storage space is limited, this design makes it possible to stack the boxes so that the surface can be exploited in further productive operating activities. The maximum cost savings is reflected in the return of the boxes. Due to the boxes ratio of pliability, the number of trips can be reduced significantly. Truck space is indeed maximized, which is reflected in cost savings.

These boxes are available in several versions and colors and are perfect for the food industry (fruits, vegetables, dairy and canned products), as well as for the textile, automotive and pharmaceutical industry. Their robust design ensures their high quality and makes them easy to manipulate as they are extra light. Their weight varies from 1 kg to a maximum of 2.5 kg, so it is faster to handle the empty boxes.

"The decision to extend the AL RPC family with three new members comes from the company's innovative spirit. We understand that we live in a changing world and formats change rapidly. In general, the products developed by our R & D are the result of some deep reflexion and a profound knowledge of the market and our customers' needs. In many cases these developments have been designed hand in hand with our customers to meet their specific needs, "says Philip Vincent, CEO of Polymer Logistics in Spain." In this particular case, these three new products are the answer to a demand for more versatile sizes that are able to diversify the range and the amount of items that can be transported within them".
