UK design agency Totality GCS is to create 4000 final packaging mock-ups for Morrisons this year.
The aim of the pre-sale design project is to save the retailer time and money, as well as increasing shelf standout and space.
The mocked-up packaging formats allow the retailer to assess proposed designs prior to final implementation stages, thereby reducing the time and costs involved with their new product development process.
The project is part of the wider O2O programme established by Morrisons, which has seen the retailer transform its packaging to create a range of own-label brands.
Commenting on the link-up with Morrisons, Totality GCS managing director Chris Turpin said, “We’ve built a strong working relationship with Morrisons over the past ten years, working across all tiers of design production and we are thrilled to take on the pre-sales packaging process.
“By replicating the exact structural format of the pack, the correct material and desired finished, any issues are raised before the costly print production.
“Our breath of knowledge and wealth of experience in colour and print skills will be put to use when creating the packaging mock ups for pre-sale models for Morrisons’ basic, core and premium brands.”
