Casa Silva, a Chile-based winery, has secured listings for its wines at London-based family brewer Fuller’s.
For the UK, the winery has rolled out its Cool Coast Sauvignon Blanc and Cool Coast Pinot Noir.
Launched for the first time four years ago, the Cool Coast Sauvignon Blanc wine is produced from grapes grown at Paredones Estate in Chile.
The Pinot Noir, which has been recently released into the market, is the first red wine produced the winery from that area, reported Harpers.
Located close to Pacific Ocean, the Paredones Estate offers cool climate with daytime temperatures ranging from 8-25 degrees Celsius and helps in preserving the natural aromatic flavors and acidity of the grapes.
Jackson Nugent, Casa Silva's wine supplier to the UK duty free market, sales director Johnny Bingham was quoted by the website as saying that the agreement takes Chile into a new future and breaks the stereotypical perception of Chilean wines in the UK away from entry-point Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc to showcase the fantastic wines Chile really has to offer.
Casa Silva managing director Mario Pablo Silva told the website that they are excited to have gained this listing with Fuller's, who have a long history selecting and selling wines, working directly with the growers and developing strong relationships.
"For us the UK is a very important market, and as these wines pair so well with food, it is fantastic for us to have such a reputable company working to sell our wines in the on-trade across the UK," Silva added.
