American chain of drive-in restaurants Sonic has added new egg white options to its breakfast offerings.
The new egg white offerings for breakfast include, a wide variety of Breakfast Burritos and Breakfast Toaster Sandwiches, the company said.
Sonic noted that egg whites are rich source of protein and contain no cholesterol, and its breakfast items also reduce the total calorie count by around 60 calories.
Commenting on the launch, Sonic Product Innovation vice president Chef Claes Petersson said that the company is offering its customers with a choice to pair egg whites with any of its breakfast items.
In addition, Sonic has introduced Red Button Roast coffee with five new flavors for customization, including Chocolate, Caramel, French Vanilla, Hazelnut and English Toffee.
Currently, Sonic has more than 3,500 drive-ins serving approximately 3 million customers every day across the country.
