Alpen, a porrid Maple and Pecan POTge brand owned by UK-based cereal manufacturer Weetabix, has unveiled new varieties, Maple and Pecan porridge pot and Golden Syrup, Almond and Hazelnut sachet, to complement its existing range of convenient porridge pots and sachets.

The existing Alpen Porridge pots and sachets are available in four flavors, Fruit & Nut; Raspberry, Apple & Raisin; Blueberry, Cranberry & Nuts; and Maple & Pecan (sachets only).

Alpen said its porridge features nuts and real fruit pieces which give added taste and more texture.

Alpen senior brand manager Ciara O'Connor said Alpen Porridge is packed full of actual inclusions - the ingredients are chopped and blended, which means that the porridge has the added benefit of real fruit and nut pieces.

"We are committed to giving our customers something a little bit extra, so even when they are pressed for time they are still able to enjoy a delicious and wholesome breakfast. The decision to launch the two new variants reflects this, as we constantly want to provide our customers with new and fulfilling breakfast options that they can enjoy," O'Connor added.

The Maple and Pecan porridge pot are priced at £1.19, while the Golden Syrup, Almond and Hazelnut sachets at MRRSP £2.59 for a pack of eight sachets.
