Linpac Packaging, a UK-based food packaging manufacturer, has unveiled a hinged box Vertiwrap, which extends its new Freshware range for sweet and savory foods.
Made from crystal clear recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET), Vertiwrap is designed to retain freshness, while providing maximum protection to foods such as wraps and tortillas. The pack stands vertically on the shelf to enable shoppers to see the contents clearly.
Launched in January, the Freshware range also includes a range of new paper bags, which allow shops and bakeries to keep bread and pastry-based foods fresh and crispy. The bags are available in a range of sizes with or without windows and come pre-made or on the reel for use with in-house automatic bagging machinery.
Linpac Packaging vice-president Joanna Stephenson said the Freshware range has been designed and developed to support the company's customers' convenience as well as sustainability strategy and is manufactured with between 50%-95% post consumer recyclate to minimize the carbon footprint of its products.
"These latest additions to the Freshware family address the needs of the sweet and savoury food to go sector and sit alongside our meal boxes, containers, pots and tubs which are ideal for salad items, sauces and deli products," Stephenson added.
