Linpac Packaging, a UK-based food packaging manufacturer, is set to introduce Freshware range under its new Freshform division, marking its entry into the chilled retail prepared and convenience foods segment.
The new launch complements the company's existing operations within the meat, fish and poultry, bakery, fresh produce and foodservice sectors.
The Freshware range will offer packaging for prepared fruit and salads, dips, sandwich fillers, fresh pasta, pizza, prepared vegetables, chilled bakery products, cooked meats and prepared fish.
Linpac Packaging innovation & marketing VP Joanna Stephenson said that the chilled retail convenience market is highly competitive but the brand will assist the company in gaining a foothold in this market.
"LINPAC Packaging already has relationships with many key players in this market due to the close alignment with our existing sectors, particularly foodservice, and we will be working closely with our customers to develop opportunities and ensure we continue to deliver service and solutions which are in demand," Stephenson added.
Linpac's Rfresh Elite, a tray for meat and poultry products will also be included into some of the Freshware products.
