Dutch dairy cooperative Royal FrieslandCampina is set to open a new innovation center in Wageningen, the Netherlands, on 16 October 2013.
The new center will bring together the dairy cooperative's R&D activities under a single roof.
FrieslandCampina seeks to use the innovation center to cater more effectively to the increasing global demand for healthy, sustainably produced nutrition.
Cooperation, knowledge-sharing and mutual inspiration are key to this process, the co-operative said.
Located on the campus of Wageningen University, the R&D center employs 450 people, features laboratories, test areas and a pilot plant spread over 18,000m² area, as well as an Experience Centre where visitors and employees can know about FrieslandCampina's product portfolio.
