Similar to rival Tesco’s Fish-in-a-Flash, The Funky Fish Kitchen brand is designed to offer chilled fish in a convenient, ready-to-go package together with vegetables and sauces.
The new line includes 11 products, with pre-cooked Lunch Pots and dinner offerings the company claims can be ready in 6 minutes or less. The fillets come in a variety of sauces and dressings, including chili and wasabi butter, smoked paprika and garlic, and coriander.
“The Funky Fish Kitchen brings a new sense of fun to fish and seafood,” said Marine Richardson, marketing controller at Young’s. “We want these innovative fish-with-a-twist products to be meal occasion inspirations; we know that more lunch occasions could include seafood.”
The Funky Fish Kitchen will be available from Monday 9 September at special introductory prices and offers, with three Lunch Pots, two ready-to-eat salmon products and four ready-to-cook products.
