Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Spain have visited the Spanish pavilion on day three of the Anuga trade show, the world's largest food and beverage business platform, which is taking place in Cologne until Wednesday 9 October.
The royals join more than 6700 exhibitors and 155,000 trade visitors from 185 countries at the show, which is now in its 32nd year, along with some 227 Spanish companies. Spanish products exhibited at the show include a number of olive oils, Iberican ham and a variety of local Spanish cheeses.
The largest contingents of suppliers will be coming from Italy, Spain, China, France, Turkey, Greece, the Netherlands, Belgium, the USA and Thailand. This year there will be a modest increase in the number of group participations from Turkey, Poland and the USA.
Some 825 German companies will be making use of the trade fair as a business platform.
The trade fair will occupy the entire exhibition centre of 284,000 m².
