MIST Enterprises, a packaging supplies manufacturer, will be promoting their RMP paper substitute at the PMA Fresh Summit this month. RMP stands for Rich Mineral Paper, contains no wood and is 100 percent recyclable and in addition to no wood it doesn't use water.

RMP is tree-free specialty paper made out of calcium carbonate and a non-toxic binding agent. It's water resistant, grease resistant, durable, fire retardant, mold resistant, acid-free and FDA approved. It has many applications where paper or cardboard products would normally be used, with disposable food packaging being one of them. In addition to not requiring wood products for its manufacture, RMP has the added ecological benefit that it's completely recyclable. It breaks down naturally when exposed to UV light, and the dust into which it decomposes can be made into more RMP.

MIST will be present at this month's PMA Fresh Summit in booth 5406, where they can provide more information about RMP and their other products.
