Rapak, a producer of bag-in box packaging and filling systems in North America, has introduced new sustainable bag for oxygen sensitive products including fruit puree and smoothies.

The new packaging has been tested and validated as an alternative to existing metalized film bags, the company claims.

Available in 9.5L size, the bag is made from PE-based film with a small amount of EVOH and, contains no metal deposits and nylon resins.

This packaging is expected to meet the increasing consumer demand for sustainable alternatives to non-recyclable metalized bags.

Rapak offers liquid packaging products, including bags, boxes, filling machines, and dispensing systems; and dispensers, such as caps and taps, tube dispensers, tamper evident closures, connectors, and valve systems.

It also provides protection of packaged liquids, including wine, edible oil, water, liquid dairy, sauces, chemicals, post-mix syrups, and liquid egg.
