San Miguel Pure Foods (SMPFC), the food division of Philippine conglomerate San Miguel, has selected IBM to help transform its IT organization and become a smarter enterprise.
Under the five-year deal, IBM will optimize SMPFC's IT operations support and efficiently address the computing requirements.
It will provide desktop management services, covering the deployment of hardware, end user support and asset management and tracking.
The project allows the food maker to manage its day-to-day IT operations, while enabling it to focus on its core business.
According to IBM, SMPFC has been seeking to engage a strategic partner to build a robust IT infrastructure to create smarter operations, improve productivity and efficiency.
SMPFC president Francisco S Alejo III said, "We see in IBM a strong partner, with the expertise and experience to support our business requirements.
"With IBM managing our IT support nationwide, we will be able to better focus on our short and long term growth objectives."
