Aldi Süd has announced that the financial expert Frank H. Lutz has resigned from the coordination council of the company, which is headquartered in Mülheim an der Ruhr.
The coordinating council is the highest governing body operating the retail group, which has 1,800 branches, and are grouped into 31 independent companies.
Its the 45 year-old's second move in 12 months, having only joined Aldi Süd in May of 2013.
In February 2013, Lutz stepped down from the board of the German commercial vehicle and engine manufacturers MAN, where he had worked for three years, on foot of the company's takeover by VW.
Frank Lutz studied economics and business administration at the University of St. Gallen and started his career in 1995 at Goldman Sachs in November 2006, he was Senior Vice President for Finance at MAN and three years later, Chief Financial Officer.
