Ljajić said in an interview for Tanjug that it is certain that Lidl will buy lots for its facilities in at least 15 cities and municipalities in Serbia by June.
Lidl confirmed earlier that it had purchased lots in Valjevo, Subotica, Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, Niš, Smederevo and Belgrade.
Asked when to expect the long-awaited arrival of Ikea in the Serbian market, Ljajić said that the company is facing problems in gaining various licenses.
“We need amendments to the Law on Planning and Construction not only for the arrival of chain businesses, but also for the improvement of economic and business environment in the country,” he said.
