Single malt Scotch whisky producer The Glenmorangie Company has appointed marketing veteran Marc Hoellinger as its new CEO.
He succeeds Paul Skipworth, who has been appointed senior vice-president strategy, reporting to parent company Moet Hennessy’s chief executive, Christophe Navarre.
Hoellinger previously worked in Scotland between 2008 and 2011 as international marketing and communications director for Glenmorangie, so it is a welcome return for the former Danone and InBev man.
Hoellinger said: “I am delighted to return to Scotland in what are exciting times for the Scotch whisky industry, and the Ardbeg and Glenmorangie brands in particular. I feel privileged to be steering a company with over 170 years of tradition that is now a truly global business.”
Glenmorangie recently made a £12.7 million investment in a new bottling plant in order to meet demand for its various single-malt whiskies abroad.
In the US alone, US demand has increased by 63,000 cases, according to Harpers.co.uk.
