Environmental advocacy group Friend of the Sea is promoting its sustainable certification program in a new television campaign in Europe.
The messages are now appearing on television in Italy at prime time, with the expectation of reaching more than 5 million viewers — nearly 10 percent of Italy's population.
The campaign will also begin in Switzerland starting in the second week of February and running until the end of March, airing in French, German and Italian. The group expects to release the campaign in Spain and other countries soon.,
"We believe that by increasing consumer awareness of our logo, we will consequently motivate distributors and producers to implement sustainable company policies," said Paolo Bray, director of Friend of the Sea.
