Dutch animal feed company Nutreco has announced it will be expanding its Asian presence by opening two new plants in Vietnam and Indonesia and renovating its Chinese plant, at a total cost of EUR 15 million (USD 20.6 million).
In a statement, the company said it will open plants in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam and East Java in Indonesia, and remodel its plant in Xiangtan (Hunan), China. The company expects the Vietnam plant will be finished by the second quarter of 2014, while work on the other plants will be complete by the first quarter of 2015.
The company is opening the two plants as part of an ongoing effort to expand its operations in Asia. Existing premix facilities, the company said in a statement "are running at full capacity," hence the new plants.
