Nutreco on Friday announced it competed the acquisition of the remaining 67 percent shares of Egyptian tilapia feed producer Hendrix Misr.
The deal, announced 26 April, gives the Dutch feed company full ownership of the group following its 2001 acquisition of 33 percent of the company.
Nutreco said the operation has “developed successfully” and “ownership of Hendrix Misr offers Nutreco a good base to expand its activities in this attractive growth market.”
Hendrix Misr is Egypt’s market leader in extruded fish feed (mainly tilapia) which is sold under the name Skretting, and a leading producer of poultry feed concentrations.
