Fish feed company Nutreco reported a dip in earnings in the first half of 2013 over last year, despite a rise in revenues.
The company reported a rise in revenues of 1.9 percent to EUR 2.4 billion (USD 3.2 billion) over the first half of last year.
But volumes dropped by 5 percent, and overall earnings before interest, dividends, taxes and acquisitions (EBITA) dropped by 9.2 percent to EUR 94.1 million (USD 124.3 million).
Specifically, the company reported animal nutrition EBITA was down 3.3 percent to EUR 70.7 million (USD 93.4 million), and fish feed also dropped 20.2 percent to EUR 35.1 million (USD 46.4 million).
