Chivas Brothers, the Scotch whiskey and premium gin unit of France-based Pernod Ricard, has introduced two new single malt whiskeys from its Speyside distillery, Tormore.
The new single malt whiskeys include Tormore 14 Year Old and Tormore 16 Year Old, which are produced in limited quantities from a small number of carefully-selected casks.
Aged in American oak casks, the 14 Year Old and 16 Year Old expressions are available for €42 and €56 respectively in France.
These two products will also be launched into other key malt markets throughout 2014.
Chivas Brothers Malts Global Brand director Nikki Burgess said that as consumers are putting more and more emphasis on the importance of provenance, the global demand for Scotch malt whiskeys continues to grow.
"The re-design of Tormore heralds a new era for the distillery under Master Distiller, Neal Corbett, who has created a new single malt range that we are sure will appeal to both Scotch connoisseurs and discerning drinkers looking to expand their Scotch repertoire alike," added Burgess.
