Ardbeg Distillery, a Scotch whisky distillery on the south coast of the isle of Islay owned by Glenmorangie, is set to launch a new limited edition bottling – Auriverdes – just in time for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The new Auriverdes has been matured in American oak casks with differently toasted lids and bottled at 49.9% abv.
The new bottling will be available for a RRP of around £79.99, following its launch on 31 May 2014.
Glenmorangie Company Distillation and Whisky Creation director Bill Lumsden said, "When creating Auriverdes I had a distinct flavor profile in mind that I wanted to achieve, so I specifically created the heart of the recipe to bring that to life.
"It is an expression of Ardbeg which has exceeded all my expectations - it has the trademark Ardbeg undertones with a distinct new taste experience."
