CVNE (Cune, pronounced Coo-nay), a producer of Spanish wines from Rioja, recently purchased the Mikuni Wine Co. of Tokyo, to become the distributor in the Japanese market of a portfolio of premium wines from the greatest wine-growing regions of the world.

Victor Urrutia, Chief Executive Officer of CVNE and the 5th generation of CVNE’s founding family stated:

“Mikuni Wine is one of Japan’s visionary leaders in premium wine distribution, says Victor Urrutia, CEO of CVNE and fifth generation of its founding family. "We support its current management and are committed to maintaining Mikuni Wine’s organization and relationships with its clients, suppliers, and employees. Firstly, it is our mission to produce extraordinary wines. We believe our ‘Imperial’ Gran Reserva is an example of this search for excellence. Secondly, our objective is to distribute wines from the world’s best wine regions, internationally. In Japan, interest in the Mediterranean diet, including Spanish cuisine is constantly growing and premium wines are highly valued. We are excited to share and contribute towards this momentum.”
