US-based Terlato Wines has entered into an import agreement with Spanish producer of cask-fermented white wine Bodegas Valdemar.
As per the agreed terms, Terlato Wines will import Bodegas Valdemar's wines and distribute them across the US.
The company's existing product portfolio will now include Spanish wines from two Bodegas Valdemar lines: Conde de Valdemar and Inspiracion Valdemar.
The Conde de Valdemar wines include three traditional Rioja variants such as Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva, while Inspiracion Valdemar line includes Seleccion, Tempranillo Blanco and Las Canteras.
Terlato Wines chief executive William A. Terlato said, "We have found an ideal partner in Rioja.
"We're excited to expand U.S. distribution and develop the full potential of their wines in the US."
Terlato Wines currently has a global portfolio of over 70 brands from wine producers in more than a dozen countries.
The company also includes the family's winery investments and partnerships in some of the world's most esteemed wine regions, including Napa Valley; Sonoma County; Sta. Rita Hills in Santa Barbara County; Victoria, Australia; the Rhone Valley in France; and Montalcino, Italy.
