MedFEL, the international fruit and vegetable trade show, will take place in Perpignan, France from May 13-15.
The event has grown in recent years to become an important entry on the calendar for all those operating in the fresh produce industry.
MedFEL welcomed 231 exhibitors - and almost 5,000 visitors from the Mediterranean area - at last year’s show; this year’s meeting promises to be bigger and better again.
With its strong focus on the Mediterranean countries, MedFEL will also welcome the Euro-Mediterranean Melon Congress.
Organised by AREFLH, the meeting will take place on May 15.
There will be a number of debates on the production of organic melons and predictions given for melon farming in France, Spain and Morocco, in collaboration with APREL and AIM.
Crop forecasts for stone fruit will be announced over the course of the three days.
Topics such as the Dialogue 5+5 engaged in November 2013 in Algier, based on agricultural issues and food security, will also be under the spotlight.
There will be conferences on dynamics and logistics issues in the Mediterranean, collective brands and general mobilisation for the consumption of fresh fruit and vegetables, and predictions for peach, nectarine and apricot harvests.
Visitors are invited to take advantage of the innovations on show and consumption trends and crop forecasts at MedFEL 2014.
