TriWeb – modern skin packaging with a double seal
TriWeb involves the use of three films: it starts with the forming of the pack from the stable bottom film. The loaded product is then sealed with a highly transparent barrier film that fits the product like a second skin. Finally, a second top film is applied to create head space for extras such as seasonings, in-pack promotions or recipe tips. As an option, this head space can also be sealed under modified atmosphere (MAP). By using a printed skin film, the TriWeb pack provides various branding opportunities.
Longer shelf life, striking presentation
Both consumers and retailers will benefit from TrIWeb packaging: by applying a deep vacuum, the shelf life of seafood is extended considerably. Furthermore, this type of packaging stands out from other solutions due to its attractive appearance and securely held product: TriWeb thermoformer packs allow for a striking vertical presentation at retail.
Flexible All-in-One concept
The TriWeb solution can be applied on all of SEALPAC’s RE-series thermoformers. Here, SEALPAC offers an All-in-One concept that is perfectly tailored to the needs of food manufacturers with a broad product range. This special tooling configuration allows customers to produce all major packaging solutions (rigid film MAP, flexible film vacuum, TenderPac maturation packs, shrink packs, and now also skin packs with a second top film) on the same base machine, measuring just nine meters in length and with minimal changeover times.
Standard on SEALPAC thermoformers is the unique Rapid Air Forming system. This special technology, which replaces the traditional stamp mechanism, achieves an improved forming consistency, higher outputs due to shorter vacuum and ventilation times, as well as the possibility to use thinner materials – making your production even more profitable and sustainable. A new servo driven cross-cutting unit allows for higher machine speeds with less wear.
