US-based Jackie O’s Pub & Brewery has outlined plans to expand capacity at its Stimson Avenue brewery, in a move to meet the growing demand.
Currently, the brewery has an annual capacity to produce 10,000 barrels of beer, with plans to further increase it to 25,000-30,000 barrels.
As part of the expansion, the company is expected to install around five new fermenters in different phases.
Jackie O's Pub & Brewery owner Art Oestrike said the addition is expected to provide more space for storage as needed, The Messenger reported.
Jackie O's Pub & Brewery will submit architectural plans to the Athens City Planning Commission, as part of the expansion project.
