Moa Group, a New Zealand-based beer producer, has extended its contract brewing agreement with McCashin's Brewery in Nelson.
The company is also in talks to expand production capacity in its own plant located in Blenheim.
Moa has raised around $16m in a 2012 initial public offer, of which $6.1m is expected to be used in the expansion of the brewery.
The company's existing brewery will continue to produce specialized, aged brews, while the volume brews will be handled by McCashin's.
Moa Group chief executive Geoff Ross said that the company will get the required brewing scale, without significant demands on capital expenditure.
"I am confident that we will achieve a satisfactory resolution to the mediation this year," added Ross.
Moa Group brews and distributes beer and cider across the world. It offers its products to restaurants, bars, and liquor outlets through a network of distributors.
