After introducing the fresh (real) Wasabi roots a year ago, Wasabi4You has a new introduction; the fresh Wasabi stalks and Wasabi leaves of the Wasabi plant (Wasabi Japonic). Only few people know that all parts of the Wasabi plant are edible, including the leaves and stalks. They contain the same healthy substances as the root(stem) itself. There is also some of the same spiciness present, but to a more subtle degree.
This is why the use of this new vegetable is suitable for most kitchens and a welcome refreshing addition to various salads, for instance. Because of its special taste and healthy characteristics, it goes without saying that this vegetable has had an important place in the Japanese kitchen for centuries. The fresh stalks and leaves can be delivered per kilo and are packaged in bunches of 250 grams. When fresh, this vegetable can be stored in a cool place for 4-5 days.
