Ingredion Incorporated, a leading global provider of ingredient solutions to diversified industries, will introduce a new instant thickener solution, PRECISA Sperse 100 starch, at this year’s Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) Annual Meeting and Food Expo in New Orleans, LA June 22-24.

Designed to help manufacturers create a new generation of instant soups, sauces and meals that take convenience to new heights , PRECISA Sperse 100 instant thickener is a high-performance cold-water swelling (CWS) starch that delivers superior dispersibility and fast thickening at the same time.

“PRECISA Sperse 100 starch brings the next-level of instant dispersibility and thickening, allowing consumers or foodservice operators to prepare restaurant quality products faster and with less effort,” said Angelina De Castro, savory marketing manager. “It is an excellent solution for reducing preparation time and maximizing convenience, and when we couple a novel ingredient solution like PRECISA Sperse 100 with our CULINOLOGY and applications expertise, we are able to help our customers get to market faster with innovative and ultra-convenient soups, sauces and prepared meals.”

Additional benefits provided by PRECISASperse 100 include a creamy, thick and smooth home-style texture that is very stable under cold storage or steam table conditions. PRECISA Sperse 100 starch is also suited for products prepared with minimal agitation, and provides excellent resistance to harsh preparation methods including intense heating (microwaving), high shear (milling) or low pH.
