Winners Merchants International is recalling Ecoato brand Sweet Paprika Powder over possible Salmonella contamination.
Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) said that this recall was triggered by a recall in the US.
The 160g recalled product features code Lot#8147 October 2015. It has been sold at HomeSense stores throughout the country.
No illnesses have been reported associated with the consumption of recalled product.
Salmonella-contaminated food may result in symptoms, including fever, headache, vomiting, nausea and diarrhea.
This contaminated food may not look or smell spoiled, but sometimes lead to serious and deadly infections, if consumed.
