Core Tip: The recall of Wholesome Farms Sundae Cups in Canada for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination has been updated again.
The recall of Wholesome Farms Sundae Cups in Canada for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination has been updated again. More products are included in the new recall. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.

Central Smith Creamery is recalling the products. Consumers should not eat these products, and food service institutions, such as hospitals and nursing homes, should not serve or use the recalled products. You can see the long list of recalled products, along with the common name, side, codes, product photos, and UPC numbers at the CFIA web site. The flavors recalled include Vanilla, Sugar-Free Light Vanilla, Butterscotch, Orange Sherbet, and Lime Sherbet, among others.

If you purchased these products, do not eat them. Throw them away in a sealed or double bagged container or take them back to the store where you bought them for a full refund. Then clean out your freezer and/or refrigerator with a mild bleach solution to kill any bacteria. Listeria bacteria can grow at refrigerator temperatures, and freezing doesn’t kill it. Wash your hands well with soap and water after handling these products.
