By now, it seems clear that IKEA's primary purpose is fulfilling our lifelong dreams: Their mirrors cheer you on, they've cut down assembly time to five minutes (for some furniture), and they created a cozy little home for layovers in Beijing International Airport. Their newest stunt? A literal bed and breakfast café in East London.
For two days (May 19 and 20), visitors to the pop-up café will be able to relax in an IKEA bed as waitresses serve them a traditional Scandinavian continental breakfast — hopefully one that includes that to-die-for lingonberry syrup. Want to enjoy your leisurely breakfast with a loved one? Double beds will be available for curling up as a couple. The crumb-phobic shouldn't worry: The sheets will be changed in between customers.
If breakfast in bed isn't enough, IKEA promises that sleep specialists will be on-hand to correct your nighttime posture — and, we presume, help you find the IKEA bed that's best for you.
