Mars recalls 6,700 cases of Dove Chocolate Assortment Snowflakes in US

Dove Chocolate Assortment Snowflakes  Mars Chocolate North America has issued a voluntary recall of its Dove Chocolate Assortment Snowflakes from Walmart stores in the US due to a lack of food allergy information.

The recall affects around 6,700 cases of Dove Chocolate Assortment Snowflakes.

Dove Chocolate Assortment Snowflakes comes in a 24oz bag and may contain traces of Snickers, Milky way and Twix pieces that contain peanuts, wheat and/or eggs, ingredients not listed on the package.

The product was sold in Walmart stores in 35 states between 19 September and 1 December, reported Abcnews.go.com.

The product is a purple 24oz bag with Dove Chocolate Assortment Snowflakes branding on the front of packaging, while the code dates and UPC code are located on the back of the packaging.

It bears item number 10139802 and UPC number 400050521, lot codes of 537CG4PA30, 537DG4PA30, 538AG4PA30, 538AM4PA30, 541AG4PA20 and 542EM4PA20.

The product was shipped throughout the US. Mars Chocolate North America is working with Walmart to remove the recalled product from sale.

The firm has urged consumers to return this product to the store from where they purchased it for a full refund.
