The latest report issued by the Central Administration for Agricultural Quarantine of the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture revealed that a total of 1.7 million and 12 thousand tonnes of agricultural products have been exported to Europe and the Gulf since the start of the new season.
This volume includes 250,315 tonnes of potatoes, 915,712 tonnes of citrus fruits, 40,341 tonnes of strawberries and 505,320 tonnes of onions, of which 23,966 tonnes have been shipped to India.
For his part, Dr Ibrahim Ahmed Imbabi, head of the Central Administration for Agricultural Quarantine of the Ministry of Agriculture, confirmed that all Egyptian cargo exported, especially potatoes and citrus fruits, is subject to the country's phytosanitary requirements and specifications and devoid of any diseases.
