This company, based in Vietnam, is devoted to the marketing of limes and other tropical fruits. The area is one of the largest producers of this citrus and that is why they have enough production all year round. The total volumes obtained in the area can reach up to half a million tonnes per year.

Besides the weather, other factors that can cause price fluctuations are the logistics and manpower. In the case of Vietlimes Agricultural Products, in addition to being producers and being based right at the heart of a production area, it is worth mentioning that the Vietnamese part of the company has been devoted to the packaging of this fruit for more than 15 years. "This makes it possible to offer a very competitive price, since we do not depend on third parties," explains Ron Roy, the company's commercial manager and Australian partner. "The average FOB price of seeded limes ranges from 850 to 1,100 dollars per container (including packaging), while seedless ones cost between 900 and 1200 dollars per container," points out Ray.

Over the last 15 years, these limes have been mainly intended for the local market and a small part to China; however, "since we formed a partnership with the two nationalities, it became easier to gain ground on the market because of the various advantages that this entails in terms of communication with both customers and producers," explains Ray. Thus, the Middle East, China, Dubai, Egypt, South Africa or Saudi Arabia have been the usual international markets in recent years. Other noteworthy recent additions to the client portfolio are New Zealand, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
